PACO & les 4 Saisons de Vivaldi

A dog, a tale and four seasons to discover classical music.
Paco, a lively little dog, introduces children aged 3 and up to classical music through a tale written and narrated by Elodie Fondacci, based on Magali Le Huche’s books published by Gallimard Jeunesse.
Through Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, the music moves all around young and old alike: spring blossoms on one side, the storm rumbles on the other. Each instrument finds its place in space, and the story moves with it.
A first encounter with spatial sound, to share as a family.

Elodie Fondacci
Writing and storytelling. With a master’s degree in literature and a degree from Sciences Po, Élodie has been a culture journalist and presenter on Radio Classique since 2005. In 2009, she created a programme on air for children and for everyone who still feels like one: Des histoires en musique. For four years, she told young listeners a fairy tale every evening to introduce them to the finest pages of the classical repertoire. Élodie regularly takes to the stage to tell, with music, the stories she writes.

Magali Le Huche
Illustrator. Magali was born near Paris in 1979. After studying at the Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, where she attended Claude Lapointe’s workshop, she began illustrating her first picture books, including Les Sirènes de Belpêchao, which won the Prix Sorcières in 2006. Her work is often inspired by her passion for music; she has written or contributed to around a hundred books with Gallimard Jeunesse. In her Paco series, she has spent more than ten years drawing the musical wanderings of the already iconic yellow dog, in France and in many other countries.

VIVALDI
In 1725, Vivaldi let us hear nature itself. Birds sing. A stream flows. A storm draws near. Ice cracks. 300 years later, Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Ensemble Le Consort reinterpret The Four Seasons for Alcôv.
